Patience and Writing!

A couple of months ago he (my best friend) advised me to start writing properly. As not for fun but I should make it a habit of mine to write if not every day but must once a week. So, I thought for weeks and finally I started this blog. Where I share with you the occasional writer in me.

Everything was fine I wrote six to seven posts fairly fast and then there was a break. This break was not because I was very busy with my studies or life, no, it was because I am very impatient. I never do justice with whatsoever I do. I leave things halfway because I get bored. Every once in a while I get inspired by a better idea than the one I am working on and boom … I leave my current work and start a new one. I do this with books that I read, paintings, sketches, doodles, movies that I watch, crafts and writing too.

One of my earlier blog post was about patience. In that post I talked about patience and about myself. I told in that post that I am patient in my relationships and indeed I am. But other things don’t ever see my patient side. I am as impatient as a lover.

I think impatience is the trait that all of the writers share or in other words all of the creative people share. I lately thought about my impatient attitude. Of all the things my impatience comes to its fullest only when I write. That is why I write shorter blog posts. At a certain point I get frustrated and then I wind up in a haste.

Writing is not an easy task. You need an inspiration before you start and inspiration never comes out of blues. It requires consistent hard work to get inspired by something and to work on that inspiration is way more difficult. And I am not a person for difficulties. I am as lazy as a sloth and even if I get over my laziness I can never get over my impatience.

Now it has only been half an hour since I started to write this post and I am already thinking about ending it as soon as possible. My impatient soul is in search of something new to work on. Will meet soon !!!
